Cathlyn smiled as she saw the familiar form of her mate walking towards her holding a tray filled with fruit and wine. It was their restday and they were taking the opportunity to relax and drink and basically enjoy each other’s company even if it was in the middle of the dining cavern.
“Hey, Handsome.” Cathlyn was getting braver and braver in his company and more open with him. T'mil was glad they had managed a rest day together. They hadn't had much time to themselves and then that awful Threadfall had happened. He smiled when she spoke up.
"Hello to you too beautiful," he said, sitting down with her. As soon as he was sat down she kissed his cheek softly and stroked her fingers down his arm in a very un Cathlyn way. T'mil raised a brow. That was very unexpected. He couldn't remember Cathlyn ever willingly kissing him in public. "Seems like you're in a very good mood today," he smiled. Cathlyn shrugged a little, she felt different for some reason but different was a good thing.
"Is that such a bad thing?" T'mil shook his head with a smile.
"Not at all," he assured her. "It's just different for you." He knew she wasn't a real public person with her affections. He was surprised by the kiss was all. Cathlyn smirked a little and kissed him hard making a few people around them whistle before she pulled back.
"Well, I'm feeling a little different today." She murmured. She had felt different since the thread score on her shoulder. T'mil's eyes widened before leaning into her kiss.
"I think I could get used to this new side," he whispered, looking into her eyes. He wondered what had changed so suddenly.
"Better not." She smiled picking up a piece of fruit and biting into it the juices running down her chin making her giggle.
"And why? I like this side of you too," he whispered, chuckling as he watched the juices slide down her chin. She certainly wasn't her normal self at the moment. Cathlyn smiled more wiping her chin before licking her fingers.
"Because we both know that ill go back to being my sweet and innocent self." She was starting to suspect that Onith was affecting her.
T'mil pulled a face but then smiled. "I like you anyway I can get you," he assured her. "Innocent or not," he teased. Something was certainly going on that caused her to act differently.
"Mmm hmm." She said softly pulling the mug of wine to her drinking deeply.
The brown rider watched his mate. "You okay, Cath?" he asked gently. Meinerth hadn't said anything yet, but he had never seen Cathlyn like this.
"Onith..." She said simply with a slight shrug. If only she was more like this T'mil seemed to like it. T'mil's eyes widened, but then he smiled. That made perfect sense. He hadn't realized her green was so close to rising though. Cathlyn smiled at the wide-eyed expression on his face. It was nice that she could still surprise him despite feeling like she was boring and plain. T'mil reached across to touch her hand.
"Should we leave here or do you still have some time?" he asked, not wanting her to get caught in the middle of everything. Cathlyn paused thinking about his question. She should leave it was what they were meant to do but she was enjoying this side of her.
T'mil smiled a bit., "Judging by the quietness you don't want to leave," he said softly. That was fine, The weyr was used to flights after all.
"Should though..." She said gently rising tugging her tunic down over her hips. T'mil wouldn't argue. He got up with her, ready to follow her out of the cavern.

Candlemarks later Cathlyn stirred moaning a little at the weight obviously asleep on her. T'mil shifted beside her, having been sleeping soundly until she moved.
"Hmm?" he asked softly.
"Too heavy..." She breathed with a smile as she recognized the voice. She was used to the weird sleeping position but this had to be the oddest. He had obviously passed out just after pining her to the bed.
T'mil yawned a bit but quickly moved. "Sorry," he whispered, a bit more awake now. After hearing Cathlyn's voice he smiled a bit. Cathlyn let out a sigh of relief at the fact she could breathe again. What a strange way to wake up. He rolled over to curl against her. A smile touched his lips when he remembered parts of the flight.
"That was quite a flight," he yawned. Cathlyn nodded. It certainly was an interesting flight, one that she wouldn't forget for a while. He ran his hand down her arm. He couldn't remember a flight quite like that.
"Glad it was with you," he whispered. Cathlyn smiled at his praise for all her timidness she was wild in a flight.
"Like anyone else would have you." She muttered shivering at his touch.
T'mil rolled his eyes but kissed her neck. "Well, at least you'll have me," he grinned. "And that is good enough for me."
