Once K’ron was feeling better Nerlyn had offered to spend the rest of the day with him to catch up after her seven day of ship duty. She just had to finish up a few things with the Dolphins and cleaned up and she promised to meet him at the Dolphin bell. She was considering that they could go to one of the islands or somewhere just as remote.

As K’ron finally made an appearance Ellys looked up from repairing the bell and offered a smile to the young man. “Good afternoon wing leader.” He greeted formally despite the smile and the age and seniority he had as master. The man was in his mid forties with greying hair and dark eyes. “Nerlyn said you had been unwell?” He enquired.

It would be nice to finally spend most of a day with Nerlyn. He had missed having her around and then he came down sick which didn't help matters at all. One day they would get things right.

Tyreth waited while K'ron went to find Nerlyn. Koda was already with her as he barely left Nerlyn's side. K'ron smiled at Ellys. "Afternoon. She's correct. Only just starting to feel better again. "

“Exhaustion does that to you.” Dolphin master could appreciate how hard the man worked. It was hard to have so many riders underneath them he was glad he’d never impressed Dolphineerung and running Dragon Hold seemed easier than dragon riding and fighting thread. “ I Suppose you are here to grab your wife then?” He said standing up from cleaning the grime off the bell.

The bronze rider nodded. "It does. Didn't realize just how bad til this time around." He really needed to be more careful or he could let himself get exhausted like that again. Thankfully he didn't think he'd have to worry about Nerlyn now. "I am. Is she close by?"

Ells nodded and pointed to the dock that led out to the deeper area of the ocean where there was a large pod of dolphins and splashing happening. “Sorry mate… she is over with the pod running medical checks.” He confirmed that she was nearby.

K'ron followed Ellys' finger. He blew out a breath. "Well looks like I either have to wait or see if Ty wants to swim," he chuckled. Tyreth seemed to like the dolphins .

The Dolphin master shrugged. That was completely his choice. It would be nice to see more dragons around swimming in the area though. “Might as well get the Dragon? It might encourage more people to come round here. It’s pretty lonely being a dolphineer most days at the moment.” It was still a slow trade compared to others but he knew it was quality over quantity.

K'ron smiled. Tyreth would love it! "Can do," he grinned, calling the big bronze over. Tyreth happily complied and K'ron bounded onto his back. Tyreth happily glided out to where Nerlyn was with the Dolphins.

Nerlyn was surprised by the sudden change in water depth but grinned as she realised the cause and waved to them. “Hello.” She called as the dolphins all started chattering and diving underneath the bronze dragon. Nerlyn swam to reach them and gently held onto a wing to paddle. “You are very much not dressed for the ocean.” She grinned whilst she had her thermal suit on.

Tyreth bugled happily, watching the dolphins. He ducked his head under the water and blew bubbles in the water. **They tickle,** he bugled.

K'ron laughed, happy for his dragon as Nerlyn joined them. "Well I hadn't exactly planned on coming swimming ," he chuckled.

“Mmm strip off and come join me?” She tempted as she floated a little on her back as a young dolphin poked at her.

K'ron raised a dark brow. "Are you trying to tempt me?" He grinned, shucking his jacket and boots. He just hoped Tyreth wouldn't go under or else everything he had would be drenched.

“Completely.” Nerlyn grinned and secured the clothing to the straps knowing that if the dragon went under he wasn’t going to lose his clothing. The Dolphin poked at her again as Nerlyn climbed back down and turned to face it and scratch her nose.

K'ron laughed out loud. He loved seeing Nerlyn like this again. It felt like ages. He shed his shirt, leaving his pants in place as he moved to slide into the water. Tyreth craned his neck around to watch.

Nerlyn approached as he finally joined her in the water and splashed him. “I seem to have a bodyguard today.” She whispered as she wrapped arm around his neck.

"Hey!" K'ron laughed as he tried to shield his face without much luck. He was soon drenched but happy. He looked over at the Dolphin as Nerlyn slipped close to him. "I see that. I promise I won't hurt her," he promised the Dolphin as Koda landed on Tyreth's head to watch.

Nerlyn used her free hand to sweep his hair out of his face and scratch the dolphins nose again before she put two arms around him. “Been like this all day.” She admitted with a shrug giving him her attention again.

He laughed a bit. He really needed a hair cut but just hadn't taken the time. He gently wrapped his arms around her waist. "Is that normal?" He asked curiously. K'ron was trying to understand her new Craft.

“Not really sure. A lot of the young ones are overly excited at the moment.” Nerlyn said as the dolphin poked her nose against her stomach again. “I assume it’s the season.”

K'ron didn't know enough about dolphins to disagree. "Huh. Guess that's possible, " he smiled, pulling her against his side. He reached out a hand to the dolphin. "Is that what it is little one?"

The dolphin snorted water as if in despair by the pair. “Ba..by.” The young dolphin squeaked poking Nerlyn again as if to make a point.

K'ron blinked and looked at Nerlyn. "Did that dolphin just say what I think it did?" He asked, not sure he was hearing right at all.

“Small… healthy.” The dolphin said as if to confirm with another nudge to Nerlyn and her stomach. Nerlyn raised an eyebrow before her hands went to her stomach and lay across them not saying a word.

The bronze rider was in a bit of shock. "Ner?" He asked softly, wrapping his arms around her. "You're pregnant?" Shards, he hadn’t expected that. It had been hard and scary when they had finally managed to have Raen.

“I cannot be,” Nerlyn said her hands stuck between her and K’ron as she tried to process it all. They had not been using anything to avoid it but the possibility was so low after what had happened with Raen.

K'ron was still in shock. Not that he wasn't excited but he was scared too. He had nearly lost her when Raen was born. He didn't want that to happen again. "I have never known dolphins to lie," he said gently, kissing her cheek.

The former green rider stepped back so that she could use the bronze Dragon for support as she tried to make sense of what the Dolphin had said. It was not impossible but it had to be a fluke right. The dolphin nudged her, bringing her back to her senses and training. She scratched the dolphin on her nose with a quick whisper of thank you as she started to tread water. The Dolphin nudged her again before disappearing underneath the pair, leaving them alone, apart from a great big bronze dragon. “I’m not sure what to think.”

Tyreth cranes his massive head around, worried about the former green rider. He crooned softly to her. K'ron blew out a soft breath. "It is a shock, but a good one," he said gently even though he was scared.

“I just…” she shrugged a little as she tried to work out her emotions into something that could be explained to him. “I did not think.” She admitted aloud. It was a shock to her to say the least.

K'ron nodded gently. He understood completely. He hadn’t honestly thought it was possible either. He kissed her hair as Tyreth crooned softly. "It's a good thing though, " he said gently. **little!** the bronze crooned.

“Very good. I just need to think it all through.” She whispered finally letting out the breath she had been holding wondering what his reaction would be. She had to have been only a few sevendays into the pregnancy or some of the other dolphins would have mentioned before now.

K'ron nodded in understanding. It was a lot to take in. And if he was honest he was scared out of his mind. He had nearly lost her last time. He couldn't go through that again. "I get it. It's a lot to take in."

Nerlyn quickly nodded. It was a lot to take in and she needed to think about it properly. Did she want to go through it again? Could she go through it all again? “We should get to land. Sorry Tyreth.” Nerlyn commented scrubbing his hide for a moment before she started for the pier again.

Tyreth grumbled a bit but snorted, letting them know he was okay with it. K'ron nodded a bit. "True. We should talk a bit too and find something to eat."

Nerlyn said nothing until they reached the steps and hauled themselves up to sit on the pier. By the time he joined her she was already undoing the wet suit. Everything was going through her head like a whirlwind, but she glanced at her mate as he moved next to her. “I don’t feel like eating. I'll meet you at the weyr when I’m finished here if that is okay” she said needed a few moments to compose herself.

K'ron followed his mate. She still seemed in shock to him and he couldn't blame her. He was too. He hesitated before slowly nodding. "If you're sure," he said softly. He hated leaving her.

The woman nodded and looked at him intently seeing the worry and hesitation in his eyes but she offered a small smile. “I am fine. I will be a candlemark or less.” She just needed to finish up things and then get a chance to have a moment to herself before they discussed the options they had.

The bronze rider finally nodded as Koda landed on Nerlyn's shoulder. K'ron kissed his mate's cheek. "Alright. See you soon," he agreed, turning to head back to where Tyreth waited.
