It might have been four drops

G'van paced the infirmary as he waited to see Calarya and Leith. because of his arm he hadn't been able to fly Fall but he had been helping in the infirmary. When he heard the keens from all the dragons his heart stopped in his chest until Dystath assured him it wasn't Leith.
Calarya did appear towards the end of the rush holding a cloth to her bare arms looking dirty and bloodied but not enough that she needed carrying on as she came under her own steam.
“Cala!” He cried, finally catching sight of his mate. He carefully dodged around the others in the infirmary. His stormy eyes widened when he saw the blood. “Okay over here,” he motioned her over, grabbing supplies on the way.
Calarya winced at the cry from the one person that she had been desperate to see for the last candlemark as she tried to stem the blood and check in on her riders with A’ren. “I’m okay.” She assured him sounding pained. She had only agreed to come down when A’ren had noticed the blood stream down her arm.
G'van ignored her protest as he gently sat her down on an empty cot. “Love, you are bleeding. At least let me look,” he asked, kneeling in front of her. He wanted to make sure that she was truly okay.
The woman let him sit her down. “I have to be quick.” The woman slowly pulled the cloth that she had grabbed to stem the blood away and it instantly started flowing again.
The brown rider cringed. “How did you manage to do this?” He asked, carefully keeping pressure on the wound. It was definitely going to need stitches.
“Thread.” She said simply. Leith had gone between instantly but the damage had been done both physically and mentally as she was carrying on like it was not a big deal.
He frowned. Thread was certainly nasty. G'van reached around for some numbweed before he started to stitch. “Any other places or just your arm?”
“I do not think so.” Calarya said looking at her arm confused as an apprentice appeared and offered her wine with some fellis in. Calarya looked at the wine and shook her head.
“Drink it please wingsecond.” The girl requested firmly. She could see signs of shock. “The Weyrleader sent me with this.” She added.
G'van glanced over at the girl, giving her a grateful smile. “She's right. You do need to drink it,” he said gently. He had a feeling he knew what was in it and Calarya wouldn't like it but she needed to drink it.
The woman frowned but downed the mug of wine wincing at the taste of it “She’s in shock brown rider. The Weyrleader sent me to check that she came here and did not just wander off or attempt to come to the after action meeting.” She admitted softly. “It just had 3 drops in. Just enough to calm her down.” She admitted knowing he would need to know that.
He nodded. It was easy to see Calayra was in shock and he was glad A'ren had noticed it as well. “Thank you. She definitely doesn't need to be at that meeting right now.” 3 drops should do the trick. It should also let him get her arm cleaned up.
“I am fine.” Calarya said, moving her arm away as her eyes started to droop a little and her head dropped to the side.
“It might have been four.” The apprentice admitted.
G'van pressed his lips together to keep from laughing. “That's okay. she needs the sleep,” he assured her, moving to lie Calayra down on the cot. His arm twinged a bit from moving wrong but Calayra was the important one right now.
Calarya mumbled in her sleep but did not fight the fellis induced sleep. The teenager moved to help lie the woman down. “How can I help?” She asked seeing he looked like he could use help.
“now that she is resting we can get that arm cleaned properly. If you don't mind helping me there I'll get everything together to start the stitching.” His own was starting to hurt but he wanted to take care of Calarya.
The girl nodded and quickly washed her hands in redwort. “I’ll start flushing it out with redwort to stave off infection.” She offered grabbing up the jug and bowl whilst he got the items to stitch her up.
“Thank you. I appreciate it.” G'van certainly didn't mind the extra help. He left the apprentice to her duty while he collected the need and thread he would need for the stitches. At least Calayra couldn't flail and catch him with a claw.
Melayh was barely 15 but she was doing her duty as the brown rider came back. “I’ve flushed it out with redwort and cleaned but it’s bleeding quite a lot still.” She said having pressed some of the clothes into the would to stop the blood best she could.
He have her a smile. “You’ve done a wonderful job,” he assured her. The wound was deep and he wasn't surprised it was still bleeding. “We'll get it stopped. It's in a bad place.”
Melayh nodded and slowly removed her hands so the man could start sewing up the wingsecond. “Must have been a bad fall not seen as many people needing help in a long time.” She admitted.
G'van nodded a bit as he carefully started the stitching process. “Dyst said it was bad. I don't know what happened but yes it was bad.” He hated that he wasn't out there.
“Melaeree said the same thing when I patched up her shoulder.” Melayh commented with a small smile that she had gotten to spend a little time with her mother. The blue rider was not maternal at all but Melayh enjoyed her company now that she was older.
“I'm just glad we didn't lose any more then we did,” he said, carefully working on the stitches to stop the bleeding. Two had been too many. The others would heal. “How was Melaeree?””
“She will live to fight thread another day.” The girl assured quietly as she watched the way he stitched. It was a lot less delicate than Thalia but looked cleaner than Nikolai. It was interesting to see a rider work as a healer as he had a lot more practical approach to things.
“That's good to hear.” At least she was alright. G'van carefully tied off the end of the thread. “Alright I think that should do it. At least the blood has stopped.” He sat back with a sigh. This had been quite a day.
Melayh nodded. “Would you like me to stay with her brown rider whilst you help others?” The apprentice offered quietly as she looked around at the chaos still around them.
G'van glanced around him. He hated to leave Calarya, but he knew his work wasn't done. He gave Melayh a grateful smile. “If you wouldn't mind, II would appreciate it.”
The apprentice nodded gently and grabbed a stool to sit by the woman. Her arm would do better with no wraps around it so that air could help. “I have no problem.” She assured quickly, already grabbing the woman’s wrist to check her pulse.
He smiled, knowing Calarya was in good hands. “Yell if you need anything,” he said, pushing to his feet. there were others who still needed help. F
Melayh did not think she would need anything but she nodded at him. This was an easy watch, the woman was unconscious and would likely be so until early evening thanks to the fellis and by then the shock would likely have been slept off. “I will if I do, but she’ll be here waiting when you are done.” She promised.
