Mission: 3531 AL
Location: River Cove Weyr
Timeline: M2 D30

Milayna yawned a bit, snuggling against the warm body that was next to her. She sighed softly, feeling very content. It had been a long time since she has felt so happy. She sighed softly as she laid her hand over F’cone’s waist.

“You can’t yawn. You have to go back to the workshop.” F’cone grinned as he pressed a kiss against her forehead. It had been well over a candlemark since he had been woken up so he knew time was limited but he still wanted to continue to connect and cuddle her.

Milayna wrinkled her nose. “I know. Not much longer today though,” she smiled. She knew they would be okay. The remaining time she had today was more going over her notes with one of the teachers and making sure she was understanding it. She snuggled tighter against him, not wanting to leave him yet.

The man laughed and looked down at her and smirked. He stroked her hair away from her face as he just savoured the moment and the way she had made him forget all his problems. “Still need to go back though. Can’t lounge in bed all day.” Though he wished they could.

Milayna buried her face in his strong chest. “Are you sure? That sounds like a good plan to me,” she whispered, not ready to move yet. This was perfect and something they had needed for a long time.

“Oh you have no idea how much I was to roll you over and go again but I am a man who knows when I can tempt and when I should not tempt.” He whispered softly thinking that for the greater good she had to go back to the weavers and try to learn something that day. This was her chance to move on from Dragon Hold.

“Mmm I like that option so much better,” she whispered. It wasn't that she wasn't enjoying learning the weaver craft. Just for the moment though she wanted to stay with him. Just forget things for a little bit.

“Me too.” The bronze rider assured quickly but shook his head. He could not just give in, greed in any form brought the Weyr distress and he was trying to not be greedy and destructive, it had been why he had failed badly as Weyrleader. Power had gone to his head and made him such a bad person that he had lost anyone he cared about for a long time.

She moaned softly against his chest. She didn't want to get up but he was right. They couldn't stay in bed all day. “Guess duty calls,” Milayna finally agreed.

“I’ll make it up to you later.” He promised ducking to whisper in her ear just what he would do once the children were in bed before he sat up and moved away grinning.

Milayna flushed but then smiled broadly. “I'll hold you to that bronze rider,” she said, reluctantly getting up. She collected her clothing to get dressed again so she could head back down for lessons.

“You are going to need a bathe sweetheart.” The man stated as he took the pile of clothes from her still grinning. The flush on her skin was beautiful to him and knowing he had done it complimented his ego no end. “Come on, I'll help detangle your hair.”

“Mmm that is probably a good idea,” Milayna agreed. That thought hadn't crossed her mind yet. Of course she hadn’t really gotten her mind back on anything yet. “And I would appreciate the help,” she smiled.

F’cone laughed a little at the confusion across her mind. He was not sure he had been that good but it seemed Milayna was happy. “I’ll grab that spray bottle you use for your hair after washing.” He said knowing the routine.

She nodded. “Be back in just a moment,” she said, slipping into the bathing room. She knew she didn't have a lot of time but she was looking forward to the help with her hair. Milayna quickly bathed and felt more presentable as she walked back into the bedroom. “am I presentable now?” She teased.

The man pulled on boxers whilst he waited for her to come back and set the bedroom back in order. He twirled the brush she used in his hand and patted the space in front of him. Once she settled in front of him he sprayed her hair and started to brush out her hair.

Milayna smiled at him at she slid into the chair. “Not sure I'm gonna be able to think about patterns,” she laughed as he ran the brush through her long hair.

“Sorry.” He said not at all sorry but he was surprised. “Do not forget your notes this time.” He teased making sure silently that the knots were out before he braided her hair.

“I don't know,” she grinned. “Kinda liked forgetting my notes. Got to see you.” It had certainly turned out a whole lot differently than what she had planned. “How did you learn to braid?” She asked.

“Oh I very much like you forgetting your notes.” He assured kissing her temple. “I have had lovers before I had a mate Mil plus it is very much like strap works.” He said quietly not wanting to mention Lana but it had been from watching her before she had impressed he had learned it. He had never learned it from his sisters or mother.

Milayna considered that. “Hmm that makes sense,” she agreed. “And I will definitely forget my notes more often,” she laughed. She had known he had had other lovers just like she had, but they were together now.

“Please do not. Your crafter instructors will blame me.” He laughed a little and kissed her temple again. “All ready to face them.” He grinned thinking he might have time to go back to bed for a candlemark before he started on drill schedule for next month.

She laughed. “Okay,” she promised. “No forgetting notes.” Shd grinned at him. “Thank you. And I only have a couple more candlemarks before I actually am done for the day,” she said.

The man scooped up her clothes and held them out to her. “No need to thank me.” He did not need thanking as he had enjoyed the last candlemark or so.

She took her clothes and moved to get dressed. She knew she needed to get back. “I'll bring dinner when I come back,” she offered. the kids would be okay in the creche.

“Whatever you wish.” He was still grinning at her as he leaned over to grab up his shirt to at least cover up a little more. “I’ll grab the children if you want? I only have a little paperwork.” He could easily push it aside if he really wanted to.

“I was liking the view,” she laughed, but she knew she couldn't keep wasting time. “That would be great if you don't mind.” That would give her a little extra time to grab them all dinner..

Delay tactics did not work on him well when he had impressed to Caladoth for so long so he settled on just smiling. “I will collect the children so go in weaver.” He said smiling. “Do not forget your notes from the floor Mil.” He added as she turned.

Milayna bent to retrieve her notes. That was all she needed, to forget those again. “See you in a bit,” she smiled, waving before heading back out.
