Mission: 3531 AL
Location: RCW
Timeline: M3 D20

Tyreth bugled as soon as they came out of between. He wanted help for his rider. K'ron was shaking badly in V'ros's arms. Between had been the quicker and really only option but it might not have been the best thing for his shoulder.

“So…cold,” he whispered, his teeth chattering as he forced himself to stay awake. he could barely even feel his arm.

Lyna looked up as she saw the dragons appear from between and only one of them had a rider on. Lath bellowed as she saw the issue as she saw the blood on the rider. Lyna looked down and saw several people appearing from the lower caverns.

}: Kalaith says they were attacked. We are not to go there unless she says go:{ Lath explained what was being spread through the Weyr. V’ros got the bronze to land as gently as possible but he was not sure with Tyreth bellowing whether it was doing anything to help or not.

Tyreth landed next to Naedeth, kicking dust up around his feet and wings. The bronze was angry and confused with what had happened.

K'ron closed his eyes tightly. **Ty, stop,** he managed weakly. ***don't upset everyone.** Tyreth finally laid down and wrapped his tail around himself. K'ron took a shuttering breath. “Should…settle now,” he told V'ros, feeling very cold.

The weyrbowl was awash with activity as people ran over to help V’ros get down with K’ron. Thalia and Nikolai rushed over to assess. “Could you not have patched this up at Hugh Reaches?” Thalia demanded undoing the fly jacket covering the fly jacket knowing Lana must have done this.

“The Weyrwoman could not trust them as a rider did this.” V’ros stated before rushing over to K’ron. “Come on mate. You can’t die now that we are buddies.” V’ros said firmly.

Tyreth moaned in worry as he watched everyone appear around them. He then turned to his rider, his eyes whirling in a slight panic. K'ron gasped when his feet touched ground and weakly pulled his arm against his chest. He barely noticed everyone milling around as getting to his bronze was first on his mind. He barely made it before collapsing against the bronze's front leg.

“Shards,” he groaned amid a moan as Thalia moved the jackets. As the added warmth was removed his whole body started to shake violently. “trying…not…to,” he chattered. “Just so…cold.” He had dealt with Threadscore before but this felt ten times worse. He was even starting to feel sick.

V’ros caught the man to stop him face planting the floor and turned him over. “You are going to be fine K’ron.” Thalia commented as she cut the flight jacket and shirt off of the shoulder to look at it. “It is not deep but you’ve gone between so you will need rest. Get him into the infirmary.” Thalia instructed the apprentices as they appeared with a stretcher.

K'ron closed his eyes tightly as V'ros caught him. Tyreth crooned in worry as he watched everyone. K'ron shook his head weakly. “I'm fine,” he whispered. “Just…cold.” Which wasn't true at all and you could tell just looking at him. He was pale and close to passing out as he still cradled his arm.

Lyna appeared at his side. “You are not fine K’ron.” She pointed out as she pushed him onto the stretcher. “Get yourself to the Infirmary and stitched up before Nerlyn realises hmm.” She soothed softly.

“I’ll head her off.” V’ros said seeing Nerlyn coming in the direction with the Weyrleader.

K'ron groaned as Lyna pushed him back on the stretcher. His eyes widened in alarm. “Nerlyn!” He tried sitting up. She couldn't see him like this. Not when she hadn’t wanted to go in the first place.

“Stay down bronze rider or I will knock you out.” Thalia said as V’ros grabbed Nerlyn as she tried to get close enough to see properly. She fought the bronze rider unlike when K’ron had grabbed her up.

“She is fine. Isn’t she Weyrleader?” Thalia promoted as she saw A’ren close. K'ron collapsed back on the stretcher, breathing hard. He closed his eyes tightly as he tried to calm down.

A'ren blinked. “Of course,” he answered, not really sure he believed it as he had no idea what was going on.

“She’s just threatening to cut parts of V’ros’ anatomy off. So just like old times in my opinion.” Nikolai said, pressing down hard on the wound as the apprentices lifted the stretcher. “What did you do?” He demanded making conversation to keep the man awake. “Blood and what looks like porridge.”

“Don't let…her,” K'ron pleaded. V'ros didn't deserve that. He groaned in pain, his back arching as Nikolai pressed on his shoulder. “Was standing…in wrong place. He got up …and we…collided. Got mad…drew dagger. Riana tried…talking him down….as did I. Took blade right…through the shoulder.” He started to cough, his whole body tensing up.

“Of course. We wouldn’t let her to. Sorry bronze rider.” Nikolai said as the group made their way through the corridor. “Riana was there huh? That’s a name not heard in a while.” Nikolai commented looking at Thalia wincing. She going to have to mention it to V’lik but that was going to be for later she had to patch the man lying on the stretcher up first. As soon as he was positioned down she set to work cleaning out the wound.

K'ron had no idea what he had done. He wasn't thinking clearly at all. Pain and cold were the things clouding his mind. “Should have…listened to her,” he whispered. A shout of pain echoed through the infirmary as Thalia tried to help him. His fist clenched at his side as he fought back nausea and darkness.

“I am sorry Bronze Rider. I am going to knock you out for a bit.” Thalia said gently as she knelt close and injected him quickly hoping it would help him relax so she could get him patched up quickly before he bled out.

He was breathing hard as he worked to calm himself down. “No…” he started to plead, but it was too late Thalia had already drugged him. He felt himself drifting into the cold and darkness, his body still shaking out of reaction to the blood loss and chill of between still in his bones.

Thalia felt a little bad as she soothed the rider but it was for the best. It allowed her to work and allowed the man to rest. Both were needed desperately to save his life.
