Bensen was nearly trembling as he walked slowly back to where his family was waiting for news. Yes, Rena was alive and speaking, yet she had sent him away. Of course later when he finally gave into sleep he would understand it all better. Right now all it felt like was his wife kicking him out.

Sena looked up as she heard soft foot falls and rushed to the door as her son walked in looking ready to collapse. “Bensen?” She asked in alarm. “Sweetheart? What is wrong?”

Oben stood at the alarm in his wife’s voice and grabbed up his son's arms leading him to the couches settled around the large fireplace where Senabena was curled up with her nose buried in a book. The older man glanced at Enabon who was looking over reports at the desk. “Ben?” Enabon asked in a firmer tone.

Bensen numbly let his father lead him over to the couches where his legs just gave out from under him. He blinked and looked up at his family. “She kicked me out,” he mumbled, confusion showing in his eyes. “She actually kicked me out.”

Sena frowned and looked at her husband. That didn't sound like Rena at all. There was something to this story they were missing. she grabbed up a blanket for him and draped it over his lap before getting a glass of wine.

Senabena closed her book and uncurled herself. “That does not sound like her at all.” The teenager said softly as she looked at Enabon and her father.

Bensen shrugged a shoulder. If he thought about it it didn't sound like Rena, but with how foggy his mind was it hurt more then helped. All he wanted to do was be with Rena and the baby. “That's what she said,” he said quietly as Sena pressed the glass into his trembling hands.

Oben was not convinced but he was not going to barge into the infirmary to ask the girl. “What exactly was said?” The Lord Holder asked, sitting in another chair that had a firm back as he sipped of his own.

The young man tried to actually think how Rena had worded it. His sleep-addled mind wasn't helping much though. Bensen shakily took a drink of the wine. “it was her way of kicking me out for my own good?” He wasn't sure that sounded right.

“Most likely because you look like you have been dragged through a hedge backwards.” The Lord Holder commented gently as Senabena rolled her eyes and pulled out her book again.

“She would not have kicked you out without a reason.” The teenager commented smiling. “She woke up, saw how crap you look and told you to go to sleep. I would have.”

Bensen frowned a bit. His brain still wasn't completely comprehending that. “I could have slept in there in one of the chairs,” he pointed out. He hadn't been ready to just leave but Rena had been adamant about him leaving for a bit.”

“But you would not have been comfortable or able to rest properly with healers in and out. I remember each and everyone of your births and your mother would send me away to sleep properly in my bed so I could be of use.” Oben chuckled fondly looking at Sena with devotion and fondness.

“Maybe it was to let me have a break,” Sena laughed softly. “But yes, your father is right. I did send him away to sleep.”

Bensen hesitated. “But did you ever nearly lose mom?” He asked softly, his voice cracking with emotion. “I just wanted to stay a bit longer and make sure she was okay.”

“No but I also was not newly married and still trying to get comfortable with my wife and her trying to get comfortable with me. Get some sleep my boy and then we can talk more,” Oben said, smiling slightly at Sena still. All of this was reminding him of how much he loved her.

Bensen yawned again, his eyes growing heavy. Sena smiled a bit as she nodded her head toward his wine glass. A little fellis always helped one fall asleep. And she knew her son needed it even if he didn't want to admit it. Plus she was sure Rena would feel better knowing Bensen had gotten some sleep.

Enabon smirked a little as he watched his brother’s head droop and then his eyes closed. He raised an eyebrow at his mother but said nothing. “Maybe you would like to check on Rena mother?” The man did not want to get involved in women’s thing especially as he had been kicked out last time.

Sena didn't feel guilty at all as Bensen finally fell asleep. He needed it and he would be no good to Rena if he couldn't even stand. “I shall do that,” she agreed, smiling at her sleeping son before giving the rest of her family a smile. “I'll be back soon.”
