Mission: 3531 AL
Timeline: M3 D29

Thalia paced around her small room and frowned to herself as she thought about what K’ron had muttered to her and then Lana had told her about but she had no idea how to mention it to V’lik so she had taken to avoiding him a little. She couldn’t do it forever but how could she explain that she had heard about Riana without hurting him all over again?

V'lik yawned a bit as he walked across the Bowl. His blue was asleep on his ledge and quite content it seemed. V’lik on the other hand was wondering what had happened to Thalia. He hadn't seen her recently which was odd, but then again she could have been busy in the infirmary.

Thalia jumped at the light knock and rolled her eyes. She had not been this jumpy since dragon hold but she unlocked the door and opened it already knowing it was going to be the blue rider on the other side. “Hi…” she ventured trying to smile cause she was happy to see him, she just did not want to lie.

He smiled when she opened the door. He had been worried she wouldn't be there or wouldn’t want to see him. “Hey. Hope I'm not interrupting,” V'lik said.

“No. I… um… come in we have to talk.” She said opening the door. It was a small space that looked even smaller with the dragon rider inside now but she couldn’t keep avoiding him.

That froze him for a minute. “We do?” He asked, stepping inside. Had he messed this up already? Shards, needing to talk didn't sound good at all.

“Yes.” She saw the worry and the way he froze and sighed. “I have been avoiding you because when the group came back they mentioned Riana as she is at high reaches.” She said gently, giving him the basics of the information that she had to see how he reacted to that first before she mentioned that she was pregnant.

V'lik still wasn't sure what could possibly be making Thalia seem worried. She had been avoiding him? Well that would explain why he hadn't been able to find her. The blue rider blinked, his face paling a bit. “She is?” He asked. He had lost track of Riana as she had just left. “Good for her.” He wasn't sure what else to say.

“I didn’t want to lie but I did not know how to tell you about her being there and pregnant. She stepped in when K’ron got hurt.” The woman said seeing how he paled and grabbed his arm tugging him to sit down on her bed.

The blue rider sank down on the bed. He hadn't really thought he would hear Riana's name again and now to learn she was pregnant too. V'lik blew out a shaky breath. “Guess she got…what she always wanted,” he said quietly. “Glad she could help…K'ron though.”

“I am so sorry.” Thalia whispered looking at the floor as she let go of his arm as she listened to his quiet voice and shaky breathing.

V'lik looked up at Thalia. “For what?” he asked softly. “You didn't do…anything wrong.” It still hurt to think about Riana but she had made her choice.

“I’ve been holding on to this for days as I just didn’t know how to tell you.” She admitted with a shrug. “I knew it would hurt you and I did not want that but I also did not want to lie.”

He slowly nodded, seeing what she meant. He had told her about Riana and what the other green rider had meant to him. “Thank you,” he said softly, reaching out to gently take her hand. “For telling me and also knowing how it would hurt.”

“The Weyrwoman offered to but I thought it might be better from me as she has been dealing with so many different things.” Thalia let him have her hand and weaved her fingers through his and squeezed lightly.

V'lik gently tugged her down beside him. He knew Lana had a lot on her plate. “It was,” he agreed. Since Thalia he hadn't thought much of Riana but hearing her name still hurt.

“Good.” The healer sighed softly as she settled down beside him now he was functioning a little more like him. “Seems I finally got you in my room.” She grinned a little trying to add a little levity to the situation and remind him she was there wanting him still.

He looked around before finally chuckling as he hadn't really thought about it. “That you did,” he smiled, slipping an arm around her. “I've missed you.”

The woman leaned into him and smiled at him declaring he missed her. That was something new, something that was unexpected and tugged at her a little. “Missed you too. Was horrible avoiding you.” She admitted leaning up to caress his cheek.

“I feel bad you felt you needed to, but I am also glad you didn’t just blurt it out,” he said softly, smiling at her gentle touch. “She's happy where she is and I am happy with you but it is still hard to think about her.” He had spent Turns with Riana.

“I didn’t just want to blurt it out as that would have made this all worse. I don’t want to see you hurt again.” She murmured gently, moving a little to look at him better. He was gorgeous in her eyes but she was not going to rush anything.

He gave her a gentle smile. “It would have. I thank you for thinking about that.” Thalia really seemed to understand what he needed. “I think I am okay. Just a bit shocked to hear her name.” he also tried not to think about her being pregnant. He knew why she didn't want that here.

“I am trying.” She said softly seeing the sad look about him. “Talk if you want to speak.” She offered kindly, trying to make him see that she did not need shielding. She knew what had happened, she had been in the Weyr for the blow up.

V'lik blew out a breath. “Guess it just still stings a bit. I get why she was worried but apparently I didn't mean enough to her to challenge that.” He shook his head. “I'm trying not to dwell it and focus on my life here and spending time with you.”

“That sting gets better with time.” Thalia nodded and leaned forward to kiss him gently. “Let’s turn that frown upside down hmm?” She offered gently.

He knew she was right and every day it got easier for him. V'lik lifted a brow. “Mmm I like the sound of that,” he agreed against her lips.

“Fancy going for a walk or do you want to stay here?” She offered quietly playing with a stray piece of his hair. Her room was small but cosy but it was not exactly designed for more than one person really.

He smiled as she played with his hair. “Mmm that's a hard one. It is quite cozy here,” he whispered, kissing her again. But he wasn't pushing her into anything. He would go for a walk as well..

The woman mumbled something but it was intelligible against his lips as she responded back to his kiss. She laughed as she pulled back. “It is cozy. Small but cozy.” She agreed a little breathless.

V'lik was breathing a bit hard but couldn't be happier. “It's very nice,” he assured her, brushing her hair out of her face.

The woman laughed against his shoulder. “Thanks.” She giggled softly before she looked up as his fingers brushed her face. “Glad you approve.”

He smiled. “Very much so,” he promised. It reminded him of her. “Thank you for letting me see,” he whispered, kissing herhair. .

The woman didn’t get to answer as he started to kiss her again and she found herself turning a little and climbing onto his lap so she could straddle him. It was awkward until she tugged her dress up a little grinning. “Better?” She wondered.

V'lik hadn't expected that at all but definitely wasn't complaining. “Much,” he grinned, resting a hand on her bare leg. He leaned up to kiss her again. “You okay?”

“I rescind that offer for a walk though.” She whispered softly as his lips met hers and she could feel all the heart ache from him washing away as they kissed.

He chuckled a bit. “I am okay with that,” he answered huskily. He was in no hurry to leave Thalia's side. She helped him feel whole again and forget his past.

“Good.” She stated before ducking her head to his neck kissing him there as she undone the ties of his flight jacket. She grinned as she glanced down at them and opened it pushing it off his shoulders.

“Shards,” he whispered, shivering in pleasure as her warm lips touched his neck. He helped get his jacket off before returning his hand to her thigh and started tracing patterns on her skin.

The woman giggled a little as she nuzzled his neck as his hands moved her thighs. She looked up at him and bit her lip wondering what to say now that they were there like they were. “Did not expect this when I let you in.” She laughed tossing the jacket behind her.

The blue rider sat back just a touch so he could see her face. “Nor did I when I came to find you.” He hadn't expected anything of the sort. “no regrets?” he asked with a smile.

The woman shook her head. “Not in the slightest but we can stop if you want. We do not have to go this route if you are not ready.” She assured laying her hands against his chest and looking into his eyes.

He knew she meant it too. Thalia had never pushed him and had always been understanding of what had happened. V'lik shook his head, giving her a reassuring smile. “I am ready if you are.” He wanted to give her a way out to.

“More than ready.” She assured kissing him softly. They had built up to this over the last few months of talking and flirting so there was no reason for them to not take that step in her opinion. She had held back because she had not wanted to rush him.

V'lik leaned into her kiss. He knew that had spent a lot of time getting to know each other and after those months he truly felt he was ready to let Thalia into his heart completely. “Me too,” he agreed, running his hands under her dress.

The woman laughed a little as his hands slid under her dress and eventually tugged it over her head leaving her just in her underwear and chest band. She had not felt that exposed in a long time even with other relationships with riders. “Well, that was quick work.” She whispered working on the ties on his tunic.

He chuckled a bit. “Dresses make it simple,” he grinned, leaning up to kiss her again before letting her work at his ties. He knew being in a shirt and pants wasn't nearly as fair.

The woman laughed as she reached the bottom ties and started on his belt. “Mmm hmm… that they do.” She whispered keeping her gaze on his face.

“Need help?” He offered playfully as he shrugged out of his shirt. He trailed his fingers along her shoulder and arm. His eyes were dancing happily.

The healer shivered at his touches and grinned as she shifted off of his lap and nodded. “Yes.” She whispered standing up trying to not look vulnerable stood there.

V'lik smiled, not liking losing her warmth but fair and fair. “I can do that,” he said, getting to his feet to discharge his boots and pants with his shirt and her dress. “Better?” He asked softly, reaching out to brush her hair behind her ear.

“Much.” She giggled, stepping back up to him pressing against him. She kissed his shoulder softly as standing up their height difference was noticeable. She looked up, grinned as leaned up wrapping her arms around him.

He laughed softly. “Good,” he grinned, shivering at her kiss. Shards, this felt so right with her. She was helping to wash away all of his doubts. He slid his own arms around her waist.

“Relax.” She whispered wondering who was more nervous right now as she pushed him back towards her bed relieved that she had a bigger bed than her last rooms suddenly.

V'lik couldn't remember the last time he had been so nervous but he wanted to do right by her. “I'm trying,” he chuckled, falling back on her bed.

“I’m attracted to you. You are attracted to me. Neither of us are new to this.” She reminded him as she climbed onto her bed and lay next to him running her hand along his stomach. “How can I help?” She wondered leaning up to turn a glow over quickly so it wasn’t quite as bright.

“You're very right,” he agreed. there was absolutely no reason to be nervous. “I feel like it's my first time cause I want to make you happy,” he admitted softly, shivering at her ttouch. Shards she was perfect.

“Don’t think about that. Do what feels right. Close your eyes.” She requested softly waiting until he did and she turned the glows completely over leaving them in very little light. She smiled as she looked down at looking confused before she leaned forward and kissed him again.

“Ah okay.” V'lik obeyed her words and closed his eyes. He growled in pleasure against her lips as he moved a hand to her back, running fingertips down her spine.

“You can’t see me now. There is no pressure from my reactions.” She grinned against his lips as she undid her chest band and wiggled against his chest until she was free of it.

“Hmm well aren’t you the smart one?” He chuckled softly, feeling her shift against him. “Shards woman,” he groaned, his hands trailing along her smooth skin. He shifted enough to kiss her again.

Thalia laughed a little. She loved it when he said something like that. It meant she was doing everything correctly to make him relaxed and allow them to move forward. “I have a good bedside manner.” She whispered in his ear.

“Hmm can't argue there,” he said huskily, smiling. She certainly knew how to make him relax. He ran his fingers along her ribcage as he kissed her. The woman arched against his touch and let out a soft moan as his calloused fingers ran along her ribcage. She closed her eyes, wrapping herself around him as felt him relaxing against her.
