| History | F’cone, born Falcone, was raised in a small cothold near the western coast of the Southern Continent. His family was a mixture of seafaring traders and farmers, with no significant ties to the dragonrider community. As the youngest of four siblings, he grew up working in the fields and occasionally accompanying his father on fishing expeditions. He had a strong connection with nature and the sea, which made him somewhat of a dreamer in contrast to his more grounded siblings. From an early age, Falcone was fascinated by tales of dragonriders. Though dragonriders were rare to visit his remote cothold, the stories that travelled from River Cove Weyr and other nearby holds captured his imagination. He dreamed of leaving his small life behind and joining the ranks of the legendary dragonriders who protected Pern from Thread. When Falcone turned 15, a searchrider from River Cove Weyr visited his cothold during one of their dragonrider tours, searching for candidates. To his surprise, Falcone was selected as a potential candidate for a clutch of eggs laid by the Weyr’s senior queen. Leaving behind his humble roots, Falcone travelled to River Cove Weyr, filled with hope and excitement. |
