Welcome to the River Cove Weyr!
River Cove Weyr was established well over a decade ago over on Yahoogroups where it ran before moving finally to here.
We are a post-AIVAS and set in the 10th Pass Pern 3500 AL. AIVAS' plan failed and during a 1000 Turn Interval, Pern nearly forgot that Thread existed and expanded across the southern continent.
River Cove is based in the South in an old volcano range facing the warm sea. With a freshwater river going right through the middle of the Weyr which everyone uses, and because it’s in the middle of all the holds and halls, it’s well-stocked out of all the Weyrs as it’s one of the few that survived the last few hundred turns of thread free existence.
There have been many issues between the North and South over the years with the North believing it to be how things should be from how women should be treated to how the halls should be run. The south has a very laid back attitude to these type of things allowing freedoms for all.
