Dragon Description		Mantith loves to swim.  Ever since he was a dragonet he could be found in the water.  Sometimes you can ever see him playing with the fish in the lake.  His rider teases him about being part ship fish.  This blue actually has a good memory for his color.  Of course for a dragon that isn't real good, but he is able to remember things longer then what his rider thought possible.  Mantith is a gentle giant.  There is not an aggressive bone in this blue's body.  Although sometimes because of his color he thinks no one will notice him playing in the Weyr lake which is when he started to learn how to "sneak attack".  He loves doing that to his rider.  Although he hasn’t learned yet that most of the time K’rei is just playing along and had actually seen him coming.Mantith is a medium sized blue. His hide is the color of an ocean while it looks like someone put a blanket over his back. His back is a dark midnight blue while he has stripes that run down his tail and legs. His wings are a bit long for his body, but this seems to add to his agility. This blue is actually quite nimble and enjoys showing off whenever he can. Sometimes he acts like a green in some of the maneuvers he is able to accomplish. He has a dark blue patch in the middle of his head that looks like a racing stripe on a runner. Besides his wings this blue is in perfect proportion to himself.

Physical Description

K’rei has dirty blonde hair that he wears to his shoulders. Normally he has it pulled up in a runnertail to keep it out of his face. He has bright blue  eyes that always seem full of curiosity. He has laughter lines around his mouth and eyes because he always seems to be smiling or laughing. K’rei isn’t the tallest rider around. He stands about 5’11” and weighs 165 pounds. He may not be tall, but he still has the lanky appearance of the riders and can handle himself without any problems. K’rei is far from picky in what he wears. Actually, he’ll wear anything that he can find. Normally though, he can be found in his riding clothes.

Pets		Rylin- blue firelizard Appearance: He is a very colorful blue. His hide is a dark blue like the midnight sky. Although he has lighter streaks through the membranes of his wings and down his tail and dorsal stripe. He’s small for a blue, but is very agile and quick because of it. Personality: Rylin can be very mischievous, but always comes at K’rei’s call. He likes to try to boss K’rei around at times, but it doesn’t usually work, so after a while he just gives up. Actually more times then not he can be found sleeping with Mantith.

Personality & Traits

General Overview		K’rei is a very curious rider. He loves talking to others and learning anything that he possibly can. Although sometimes he can get frustrated when it seems like people just don’t understand him, but he tries not to let that get to him. His favorite hobby besides being with Mantith is playing his pipes. He learned to play when he was young and continues to play. People usually stop and listen when they hear him playing. K'rei loves to swim. His parents swear that he is part fish. He knew how to swim before he could even walk. K’rei is usually very level headed and fun to be around. Although every once in a while he can get in funk and it takes Mantith and Rylin a bit to get him out of it. This usually happens around the time that Talyn died. Although he slowly getting over that and can actually think about the pretty green rider without breaking down. With time and the right person and friends he’ll be back to his old cheery self in no time.

History

Keerei’s parents were Dolphineer Reimil and Journeywoman Healer Keeday,  Keerei was born in Dolphin Bay Hold.  Keeday had a hard labor and it took her quite a while to recuperate.  Reimil took his young son as much as he could to give his wife time to get better.  Thankfully with time and care Keeday was back on her feet. Keerei happily grew up at the Hold. When he turned 11 his parents gave him the choice of his life. Some of the Hold residents had told them that they had noticed that Keerei had a knack for the pipes and gitar, so his parents asked him if he wanted to go to the Harper Hall. Keerei surprisingly said no and instead took up his father’s craft.  The boy loved being near the water and the dolphins.  Not to mention the dolphins seemed to love him playing his pipes, so he still got to play quite frequently.  When he turned 14 he stumbled across a clutch of firelizard eggs when he was out exploring the beach with one of the dolphins that he had befriended. He ended up Impressing a little blue and named him Rylin. During his 15th Turn a green dragon from High Reaches came to Dolphin Bay Hold on Search.  The boy had been out with his father when the dragon had first landed, but his mother had sent Rylin with a message to come back quickly.  To the boy’s surprise the green Searched him.  He wasn’t sure if he was upset or happy about that.  He had loved being a dolphineer. Keerei finally did stand on the sands for the first time that Turn.  He was a bit nervous.  He missed working with his father and being with the dolphins. The dolphins had always seemed to enjoy him playing his pipes. Although once he stood and Impressed to blue Mantith he knew he had made the right choice. K’rei enjoyed everything about being a dragonrider. He even got a chance to go back to Dolphin Bay Hold a couple of times to see his parents. Even though he was a rider he always found time for his music. Over the following Turns K’rei started to fall for a green rider named Talyn who had Impressed at the same Hatching as himself. Mantith caught her green in her first flight and the 2 became weyrmates when he was 17 and she was 16. The 2 remained weyrmates until K’rei was 24. Talyn informed him that he was soon to be a father. K’rei couldn’t have been happier until the day that Talyn was due. The green rider had complications and ended up dying during birth. K’rei was heartbroken and now he didn’t know what to do. He was left with a little boy who he named Tal after his mother. Although the poor boy only lived for a about a sevenday before he passed on as well. K'rei returned to Dolphin Bay as much as he could to be with his parents during that hard time. He is now finally getting over it and getting back to his life at High Reaches. He is thankful for his blue who seems to love everything he does and helps K'rei when he starts to think about Talyn again. The young man is doing his best to get back on track and move on.
