Mission: 3531 AL
Timeline: M4 D1

Neilla woke with a start and groaned as Sandith’s satisfaction hit her hard. She hated flights that were a surprise. She had not felt proddy or anything so when Sandith had declared that she was ready the woman had not been dressed, only wrapped in a towel after bathing after drills. She had pulled on a dress and not much else. She could remember a little bit of the flight, a wicked grin and dark hair… oh shards not K’ron anything other than K’ron she thought to herself then realised it was a smaller dragon who had caught her green. Nerlyn would never forgive her in her opinion but no definitely not K’ron, she could remember a blue dragon though certainly a male rider so it was certainly not Melaree which was a shame that flight had taught her a thing or 2.

Rizerth happily curled next to the green dragon whose flight he had just won. The blue had been even more determined then usual to win this flight and had pulled out tricks he didn't always use. His rider had not been happy though as he had only just finished his drills and was a dirty mess. Thanks to his dragon though he didn't have much time to think other than to get to the flight room. R'kig groaned softly as he wasn't ready to wake up yet.

Neilla was used to different riders since H’minle had left and the fact her green rose so often but it did not mean they were always great but she could feel that this one was a great one. The man was not cuddled all up in her space which allowed her to turn and look at the man. She let out a little giggle as she saw R’kig and shook her head. She had been partly right about the hair but it had been the wrong brother thank Faranth. She grinned as shifted over and kissed his bare shoulder gently giving him a chance to wake up.

R'kig shifted a bit when he heard Neilla moving around but didn't open his eyes just yet. A smile touched his lips as her warm lips touched his shoulder. “Hmm?” He mumbled before rolling. “Neilla?” he asked in surprise.

Neilla swept her hair over her shoulder and smirked a little. “Hello, blue rider.” She said quietly lifting her head from his shoulder to look into his eyes.

Neilla was definitely not who he thought he would wake up beside. Not that he was complaining. it was actually surprising Rizerth had never won before with the exception that H’minle’s bronze usually won. “Well hello,” he smiled.

Well that was better than the freaking out she had expected and she had to admit he had a great smile. She was a sucker for a smile in all honesty; it was what attracted her to H’minle in the first place. “Are you relaxed now?” She wondered kissing his shoulder again leaning her chin on his chest looking up at him.

R'kig shifted enough to lay on his back and actually see her. He nodded. “Hard to not be right now,” he chuckled softly. It was a bit odd but they had been friends for so long that it wasn't nearly as awkward as it might have been. He reached up to run a hand through her hair.

“Good. It was a good flight.” Neilla shifted a little as he moved finally and grinned as he tried to tame her curls. It was a pointless task but she could appreciate it for an attempt at offering some time of comfort.

He nodded. “Definitely no complaints,” he chuckled. It had been a great flight and it had given him time to relax and forget for a bit. Although he was pretty sure Nerlyn was still going to kill him.

}: Rizerth was a good mate. :{ Sandith said sleepily making Neilla smile a little in the faraway look Riders got when talking to their dragon. Neilla glanced back at him.

“Good.” She laughed as she leaned down and kissed his chest affectionately. “I have no complaints either.” She assured.

Rizerth yawned next to the green and nuzzled her shoulder. He was very content where he was.

R'kig chuckled, running his hand down her back as he shivered at her kiss. this was definitely a place he didn't mind staying.

The woman reacted to his touch and pressed closer to him, smirking a little. “Do you have to rush off?” She wondered knowing they both had been at drills before Sandith had chosen her time to rise. She still couldn’t understand why there had been very little sign, she had expected it next sevenday but maybe the excursion of drills had speeded it up.

He grinned as he drew light patterns on her back. “Nope. drills are done. I am free now,” he answered, not really wanting to leave. “you?”

“I am free. I have candlemarks to keep that grin on your face.” The woman assured quickly as she captured his mouth in a passionate kiss. She was not a child but a grown woman who knew her mind and at the moment it was very focus on the younger man who had always been her friend.

“I like the sound of that,” R'kig chuckled before shebkissed him, causing him to moan in pleasure. this was not where he ever expected to be but Neilla had been his friend for Turns and he wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Neilla grinned as she pulled back from the kiss and shifted to straddle him looking down at him unashamedly as the sheets fell away. She grinned as she could now vividly remember doing it before in the flight. The man mostly kept to himself and it left her with so many questions that were being fuddled by the left over lust.

He laughed a bit she straddled his chest. He remembered quite well some of the things they had done. R'kig wasn't the most out going and despite being a blue rider he didn't really sleep around, just whatever flight his blue decided to get in. He grinned though as through flight was keeping him from thinking clearly.

“Mine.” She whispered as she captured him in another passionate kiss. It was not hard to see where this was going but it seemed that he was just as interested in her right then and there as she was. It was the last sensible she had till candlemarks later when she woke with a groan as she was lying across R’kig’s chest. “Oh shards…” she whispered grinning as she swept her sweat soaked hair from her face.

He didn't get a chance to respond before she kissed him which he happily gave into. R'kig definitely didn't mind another round as this was right where he wanted to be. He moaned softly as she shifted against him when she woke. A silly smile touched his lips. “Can't argue there,” he agreed huskily.

Neilla looked up at him and smirked at the tone of his voice and shook her head as she shifted off of him to lie next to him. “Well…. Well… well R’kig that was something different.” She said quietly not having thought he would be like that with him.

R'kig stretched a bit when she moved off his chest before settling back down beside her. “A good different I hope,” he grinned. This was actually the first time he had stayed after a flight since Cassine.

“Unexpected.” She commented biting her lip as she looked him over in the dim light. “But so good.” She assured him quickly, stretching a little beside him as she tried to get the knot out of her side.

He nodded. “Definitely not what I expected right after drills,” he smiled. “But Definitely good.” He had no complaints at all. “YYou okay?” he asked, seeing her stretch like a feline. Shard it anyhow! She was pretty.

“Drills and then flight have knotted my back.” She laughed as she saw his face but did not shy away. She had no reason to. “But I am very good. Been a long time since I have had such a good flight. Mel was the last one that was this good. Did not realise you were… I normally think of you as K’ron’s little brother.” She grinned a little at the teasing.

“Drills will definitely do that without an added flight.” He raised a brow. That was not what he had expected. As they were both blue riders he never really saw Melaree in that way. R'kig rolled his eyes with a laugh. “Do I need to prove I'm more then that?” He teased.

The woman just grinned back at the raised eyebrow and eyebrow. “Oh I think you proved that.” She assured trailing her fingers along his chest.

“Good,” he grinned, shivering at her touch on his chest. “Do I need to help with that knot in your side?” He asked as he ran a hand along her ribs. He was much braver after a flight. N

The woman raised an eyebrow at the offer and grinned at him. She shook her head shivering as his hand ran along her side. “Maybe another time R’kig. I am sure you have places to be. We did not exactly have much time to rest after drills.”

“Oh yes, a bath and food,” he laughed. “Ri is still with Sandith so I doubt I have to worry about him for a bit.” He really didn’t lead a very social life even though he was a dragonrider.

“Food is important. We need that strength to fight thread.” She laughed back as she shifted to move away to start getting herself together to face the Weyr and sort herself out again.

R'kig lay back against the bed. He was content to stay there for the moment before finding his own clothing. “And other things,” he chuckled.

“And other things.” She agreed with a laugh as she glanced back at him as she moved to the edge. He looked content and a lot more relaxed than she had seen him in turns. It was good to see even if she was looking at him in a completely different light.

The blue rider felt more relaxed and happier then he had been in a long time. For the first time he didn't feel useless or like someone’s cast off. “I like other things,” he laughed, finally pushing to a sitting position.

The blonde looked over at him as she stood up not caring what he did or did not see, seeing she had been in his arms for candlemarks. “Well if you are ever interested in… other things again come find me.” She declared as she grabbed up her dress and shimmied into it.

He finally, reluctantly got up himself to find his pants and shirt. shards they had certainly flung things everywhere. “I just might do that,” R'kig grinned. he hadn't felt this happy in a long time.

“Then I might just see you around then.” She commented, passing him his shirt with a smirk. She almost did not let him have his shirt back but reluctantly she did. “Bye R’kig.” She said heading to the door tucking her stray hair behind her hair trying to at least have some decorum as she was leaving the flight room.

R'kig grinned. He liked the sound of that. Although he thought for a minute he was going to have to move fast to get his shirt back. “Bye,” he told her. He watched her walk away with a smile before following himself.
