Rena looked at her self in the mirror as she prepared for the celebration. She could not get herself to see how good she looked despite Lady Sena and her maid had assured her. The dress was the same one she wore to the gather that had been let out just a little to accommodate her bump that seemed so much more than her suddenly. She finally looked away from the mirror and inspecting the way she looked to look at Bensen coming out of the bathing chamber. “Hey.” She greeted.

Bensen had left Rena to get ready while he got cleaned up quickly. He had gotten cleaned up and pulled on his best clothes. This was going to be a special afternoon. “Hey beautiful,” he smiled, stepping out into their room. That still felt odd but he loved it.

She was going to argue about being beautiful but said nothing as she did not want to go down that route again. “Hello yourself.” She smiled not having realised he had taken his clothes in there to change but then again when he had come in his mother and her maid had been bustling around. “Little calmer now. Are you okay?” She wondered now they had some alone time to speak.

He grinned, seeing that she wanted to argue. But he would only continue to tell her she was beautiful. “It definitely is. Had to slip away to avoid all the girls, he laughed. “Think so. You?”

“Cannot blame you.” She assured wishing she could have snuck away herself but that was not going to happen with Lady Rena. She sighed and rubbed her stomach as the baby kicked hard. “I am okay. Tired but we have to do this.” She said walked over to him straightening the collar of his shirt.

He chuckled a bit. He did feel bad for her. His mother could be overbearing in the best possible way. “baby okay?” Bensen asked softly. He grinned when she had to straighten his collar out. “Better? And after this we can come back so you can rest.”

“They are kicking hard today.” She said grabbing his hand that even through the material of her dress pressing his hand flat against her stomach so he could feel it too. “You look perfect. You can stay and party.” She reminded him thinking of the conversation the previous day. He could act the holder where she really did not want to do that all the time.

Bensen’s eyes widened in surprise. “Shards. They are kicking hard.” He couldn't even imagine. “Thank you.” he had never really thought about his looks till now. “I may. Let you get some rest,” he answered her.

Rena assured, squeezing his hand as she just watched his eyes widened in surprise. It was nice to see it through his eyes as he was excited and nervous. “I request it from my husband.” She declared moving her hand away from his.

A smile lit up his face. He was excited but worried. He wanted to do good by Rena and his brother. “Alright. Then i shall let you have some rest without me,” he grinned, liking being called husband.

“You deserve to have some fun.” She said, running her hands up his arm until she got to his cheek and smiled. “I will rest knowing that you for once are not worrying and enjoying what you do best.” She reminded, he knew how to be a Holder whilst she was a crafter and did not enjoy the talking.

“Who said I don't have fun?” He teased, leaning down to kiss her. He understood what she was doing though and he would continue to follow his brother in making suresure she didn't have to be in the limelight all the time. “At Least I won't be Lord Holder,” he pointed out with a chuckle.

“Thankfully. I am not lady harper material.” She whispered, leaning up to chase his lips for a moment. “I meant fun without me.” She laughed and stepped away from him offering her hands as a knock sounded at the door and Lady Sena’s made opened the door slowly to tell them that they needed to hurry.

Bensen laughed a bit as he kissed her again. “Trust me, I love being with you,” he assured her. But he did understand what she meant. He turned toward the door. “Guess our time is up,” he chuckled, reaching to twine his fingers through hers.

“I think so.” The woman admitted stopping herself from utterly words back to him about how she loved being with him too. The last month had blown her away and made her realise things were worth living for and she wanted to do that with this man. “We need to talk after this… I was wrong about one of my stipulations.” She said quietly as they walked out of the room and started down the grand staircase towards the main hall.

Bensen raised a brow in question. He wasn't sure what she meant but would certainly make time for her. “Alright,” he agreed with a smile. “Once we get through this afternoon I'm all yours,” he promised.

Rena sighed gently as they stepped into the grand hall to appulse. The Harper squeezed her hands looped around his arm, self conscious of it all. Oben came down from the high table to congratulate the pair and give his seal of approval to the wider audience despite them being married a month already.

He laid his over hers, trying to silently give her comfort. He knew she didn't like all this. Bensen smiled, feeling quite happy and content.

“You both look happy.” Senabena declared as she walked over to hug them both, squeezing them close before looping by her arm through Rena’s tugging her over to where there was an excited 3 year old dressed in her best clothes. “Me and Brenna have a present for you both.” Senabena admitted quietly.

Bensen nodded. “We are,” he answered his sister. He raised a brow as Senabena tugged Rena over where Brenna waited excitedly. “A present ?” He asked, stepping next to Rena again.

“Well it’s more for Rena but we know it’ll make you happy too.” Senabena assured as Brenna shifted off the box she was hiding to allow Rena to open it and pull out a new harp that had been lovingly decorated by Brenna.

“Abe?” Rena said standing up properly feeling a little dizzy.

“We know your favourite one got broken and I thought you’d like a new one.” The young woman explained.

Bensen has no idea what his sister was up to. She was always a surprise. A smile touched his lips as Rena pulled the harp out of the box.

“That is a beautiful gift,” he commented. “Did you decorate that, Bre?”

“Mmmhmmm. It had my palm print on the base.” She pointed to where a little hand was painted on it.

“My apprentices helped and the other harpers but we thought as a wedding present you would like a new one.” The journeywoman commented blushing at the Rena put the gift down and gathered the girl awkwardly to her around the bump.

“Thank you.” She whispered in her ear. “Should I play it?” She wondered thinking 20 minutes or so and she would have it tuned and ready.

“It looks perfect,” Bensen smiled. He was so happy to see Rena smiling and he knew what her instruments meant to her. They were like his runners. “I would love to hear you play it, love,” he smiled.

“Well let's dance first and then I can tune it and play it.” Rena bent to pick up Brenna too and give her a bigger squeeze. Thankful for the little family that she had, that had kept her alive the last few months to help her get to a place where she felt like playing again.

And when better than at her wedding celebrations?
