Analees finally felt well enough that she could at least sit up without feeling nausea. She knew she had scared V'ros and really she should have seen a healer way before this happened. She blew out a soft breath, resting her head against the wall. she still felt guilty about being so happy she was sick and not pregnant.
“Well aren’t you a nice patient to have on my first day back.” Terliyn said gently as she slipped into the small alcove room that Analees was in to try and recover from her sickness. Terliyn looked pale and strained but happy to see her friend has she sunk into the stool close to the bed carrying her tray of healing supplies.
Analees looked up at the familiar face and smiled. “Terliyn,” she said happily. It was good to see a friend and if anyone would understand why she would rather be this miserable in being sick then pregnant Terliyn would. “That's a lot of supplies,” she commented softly.
At least she was happy to see her, which was nice.“I am doing my rounds and you need some things to help the nausea and to allow you to rest.” She held out a mug to the other woman waiting for her to take it before she put the tray and the other items she needed for other patients aside.
Analees gladly took the mug. She'd do anything to help with the nausea. “Thank you,” she said softly. “At least I get to see a friendly face while I'm here,” she smiled. ed.
“Niko and Thalia will be offended if they heard you say that.” The woman laughed a little and leaned over to touch the woman’s hand that was not around the mug. “But I am glad you are here for my first day back. I could use moral support not that I want you sick. How are you feeling today?” She asked.
The dark haired woman chuckled softly. That was probably true. And really Nikolai and Thalia were both really nice. “Moral support I can do.” Analees considered it. “Not quite as nauseous but still a bit cold,” she answered truthfully.
Terlint stood up and grabbed up another fur and put it over her making sure it covered her properly. “I’ll come back later with some warming stones if you are not much better.” She promised.
“Thank you,” Analees smiled weakly. She happily snuggled down into the fur. “I guess you heard…about me not being….pregnant then,” she whispered, having turned to Terliyn for support when she thought she was.
“It was part of the handover with Thalia but do you want to talk about it as friends?” Terliyn wondered taking the mug from her so she could snuggle down and get comfortable. “You need to drink that soon so it will help.” She advised though not wanting her to miss out on something that would help.
Analees reached back out for the mug once she was all settled and warm again. She slowly nodded. “I feel awful for being…happy about not being pregnant,” she admitted. “Does that make me a…bad person?”
“Jays no.” Terliyn assured quickly. This was the Weyr after all. People had choices: " It makes you stronger for knowing your mind. But we can talk about future contraceptives and options if you want. Put your fear aside for the future?”
Analees’ shoulders slumped a bit in relief. She had been feeling guilty for being happy about it. “I would like that,” she admitted. “I mean I love Ros, but i'm…scared to death of what…could happen.”
“So you do not need to do it,” Terliyn said gently. She had gone through the same emotions when she had discovered she was having another baby so it was easy to understand after the stress they had thanks to Dragon Hold.
She gave her friend a grateful smile. “Thanks Terliyn,” she said softly. Analees knew that V'ros didn't expect anything either but she had still felt guilty for being happy. “Now if I could just…stop being sick.”
“It’ll be your nerves making a stomach bug worse, I am sure,” The healer assured. “But once you are feeling better and back to yourself we can sort out the same moon tea concussion riders take if that is what you want.”
Analees considered that. It made sense. She had been scared about what it meant. “I would appreciate that,” she agreed. she didn't want to go through this scare again. “I am glad you're here.”
“Me too. Though I wish you were not here for my first day back,” Terilyn laughed a little and stood up, thinking she should really carry on with her other rounds to check that things were okay throughout the infirmary.
“Yeah I would much rather meet you for klah,” Analees agreed. She really didn't like being in the infirmary. “Well, how bout once I feel better we have that klah and talk?” She asked.
“Sure.” Terilyn nodded. That sounded much better to speak about things and unload life on each other. “I would much rather do that, too, but if you need anything, just holler.” She rose, picking up the tray properly, offering a smile. This was not the palace or time to discuss her own issues so she would just focus on the woman.
Analees nodded. “Same for you. I know I'm a bit under the weather but if you ever need anything I'm here.” She would definitely make sure to find Terliyn when she felt better.
The healer nodded. She knew that but right now her friend was her patient and she was not going to burden him. “You are my patient. So rest and drink up.” She told her quietly, offering a smile.
“Thank you.” Analees sipped on the mug of herbs that Terliyn had given her. If it helped she was all for drinking it and getting some rest.
