Trying To Wake

Mission: 3531 AL

Kelsa yawned as she made her way back to her weyr. It had been great talking with I'han but now she really did need to get some sleep or she would be useless later in the day. She stepped into the weyr, dropping her boots on the floor followed by her pants and shirt, leaving herself in just a tank top and her underwear. Wasn't any reason to be hot. She quietly walked into the bed chamber, not knowing if S'ven was there or had left for his duties.

She yawned a bit again as she sat on the edge of the bed. She quickly worked to braid her long hair so it wouldn't get tangled.

“Let me help?” A sleepy voice spoke up from the bed as the blue rider sat up and scooted over to help her. He pressed a kiss to her hair before he started fumbling to help her. “Good watch?” He wondered, trying to make conversation to wake up, as he had to exercise.

Kelsa was surprised by the voice but soon smiled as he kissed her hair. She tried not to giggle as he had trouble with her hair too. “Pretty boring actually,” she answered. “Not that I'm complaining.” Boring was much better than the alternative.

“Aye, N’rean said the same yesterday when I relieved him. No idea why he chooses that shift so often but I am not complaining.” He laughed as she sighed and got up to find her comb in the bathing chamber before coming back smiling to try again.

“Yeah not sure why he would want it either. Unless he just enjoys the peace,” she answered. She could see that being a possibility. Kelsa chuckled when S'ven returned with a comb.

S’ven had no idea but the man seemed the most put together of the blue riders with Mel. Maybe he needed to have a catch up with the older man who seems so happy with his lot in life. “He seems happy though with his choices. Him and Lyna seem so strong together after 30 odd turns.” He said still not able to believe the pair had been together that long and four children together.

Kelsa nodded a bit. “they do seem happy,” she agreed. She had been surprised to learn that the two had been together so long. Especially when it seemed like a lot of riders just bounced from partner to partner.

He nodded and started to work through the tangles before he plaited her hair up. “There, I am all done.” He said quietly, leaning over to kiss her neck softly.

“Mmm,” she mumbled happily, closing her eyes as his warm lips touched her skin. “That feels good,” she murmured.

“It is meant to Kel. I missed you last night. First time not sleeping beside you other than on the couch in sevendays.” He sighed a little, resting his lips there again as he tried to wake up better to speak.

“I would have much rather been here,” she assured him. It had been a lonely night without him. She giggled a bit as she felt him shift a little. “Are you awake back there?” She teased softly.

He smiled, knowing she truly meant that, which was nice. “Just about… I have to go meet K’ron soon, and I agreed to exercise with him before it got too hot.” He said, thinking that it was nice to hang out with the other man and just train without drills and dragons being involved.

Kelsa laughed a bit. “You better wake up then,” she teased. It was good to see him doing that. “I plan on sleeping.” She needed the sleep.

“Want me to come and wake you up for lunch?” He wondered, kissing her one more time before he stood up and stretched a bit more. He started to look around for his workout clothes.

She nodded. “I would like that,” she answered, giggling a bit as he kissed her. “enjoy your workout.”

Lunch together would be nice before his sweep that afternoon and then hopefully they could have a nice evening together. “I will try.” He was trying to act better and do things that would help him, and k’ron was someone he respected and enjoyed his company as a friend.

She watched him find his clothes, wishing they could just snuggle down together but she knew the workouts with K'ron had been good for him. “I'll see you at lunch then,” Kelsa smiled.

“Bye.” He pressed a kiss to her temple as he found his clothes and disappeared into the bathing chamber to sort himself out. By the time he came out, she was sound asleep. He smiled, feeling happy with how it felt just having the opportunity to have her as his weyrmate.
