RCW:: Making Up The Wake Up

Posted on Sun Jun 1st, 2025 @ 9:33am by Blue Rider S'ven & Green Rider Kelsa

Mission: 3531 AL
Location: Ricer Cove Weyr
Timeline: M2 D 29

Kelsa woke, having been woken by a very bad feeling. She looked around in alarm, soon realizing S'ven wasn't there with her. No no no. After that monster of a woman had torn him down he had disappeared in on himself and now he wasn't in bed.

Kelsa instantly threw the furs off, getting up. “S'ven?” She called.

The man was sat on the ledge with a mug of juice just watching the sunrise properly now that the fog had disappeared from their early morning feeding of his blue. He glanced back at the calling and smiled. “Out here.” He called not looking back as he looked over the Weyr and the quietness of it all after the gather.

Kelsa breathed a little easier when she finally heard S'ven's voice. She had been terrified something had happened to him. She slowly walked out to the ledge. “Hey handsome,” she said.

“I woke up after the Weyrwoman sent us back to bed and thought to watch the sunrise.” He said knowing it was a pretty view. He loved the angle they got of the Weyr and port from this weyr. She had been lucky to get this one just out of weyrlinghood.

She quietly sat down beside him, looking out over the Weyr. “It is pretty,” Kelsa agreed quietly. She rubbed at her face a little, not sure if he was better today or still on edge.

“Fog is all gone.” He said happily, not sure if he meant himself or the fog around the Weyr. Both seemed more settled in that moment, but he knew deep down it would not last long for the Weyr or himself.

Kelsa glanced over at him, not sure exactly what he meant. “It is. You scared me this morning,” shd admitted quietly. First the dream and then him being gone.

The man looked over at her and nodded. “I know. I am sorry.” He said softly, wishing he could take back some of the issues that he had created in the last 24 candlemarks. It was all out of his control, but still he felt guilty.

“It's okay,” she promised, leaning against his shoulder. “I was just having a weird dream and then woke up to an empty bed. It just caught me off guard.” nothing had been his fault. He had at least come back.

“Dreams can be unkind, but I just came out here to look at the view.” The man said softly. He knew that to be the truth as he had struggled in the first couple of months after Ciy had left him with the dreams around her, saying the same thing that she had when she left.

She sighed softly. “They can be,” she agreed, staying close to his side. “And I should have known it was a dream. You wouldn't run like that,” she said quietly. Kelsa knew S'ven wasn't that way.

“I do not run. I sulk and hide and burrow my head but I do not run.” He had never done that since becoming a rider. It was not the way he was nor what he had been raised to be. Could not run when a storm was coming in.

Kelsa looked up at him, hating how upset he looked. She kissed his cheek. “I know you don't,” she whispered. “And it is one of many traits I adore about you.”

He turned at the kiss and smiled sadly, leaning over to kiss her properly. “Good Morning.” He said softly, putting his mug down beside hi,m and caressed her cheek. “I have many things I adore about you and being this amazing little green rider who worries about me is one of them though I wish she would not.”

She gave him a gentle smile before returning his kiss. “Morning.” She leaned against his hand and closed her eyes. “I'm always going to worry about you,” Kelsa whispered.

“Well stop it.” He said firmly trying to plaster on a better smile. “We are a partnership.” He reminded quietly leaning his forehead against hers.

Kelsa gave him a gentle smile. “I know but I will still worry,” she whispered, not wanting to move. She wasn't ready for this moment to end.

“Fine.” He laughed, kissing her forehead before he shifted back a little from the ledge. ”So what are we doing with our rest day?” He wondered, quietly running a hand through his hair so it got out of his face.

She sighed in content, quite happy where she was. “Hmm, as long as it's something together, I am quite happy,” she answers. “We could do a picnic or find a nice swimming spot.””

S’ven nodded. “I think both of those could be achieved.” He said thoughtfully as he stood and automatically leant to offer her his hand to help her up. He had an idea of where to go if she wanted a surprise nd trusted him. He owed her something special, and suddenly thought that he knew what he could do.

Kelsa accepted the help up and stretched, her tank top riding up her stomach a bit. “Really?” She asked curiously. That would be great. She would love to spend the day with him.

“Wanna come … would you like to see where I grew up?” He offered softly. He had never made that type of offer to Ciy, and he certainly would never have taken I'lean there, but Kelsa he wanted to take there. Maybe it was what he needed to recenter himself.

Kelsa blinked in surprise at the offer before a warm smile lit up her face. “I would love that,” she answered. S'ven didn't talk about his childhood much, and Kelsa tried not to push him. She knew he would open up when he was ready.

He smiled at the surprise on her face, it was not something he ever spoke about as they took a long time to accept him as a rider. “Dress for a seahold if you don't want to wear flights.” He directed squeezing her hand. He was going to wear flights just to prove a point but she had a choice.

The young green rider couldn't keep a smile off her face. She was surprised and excited that he was willing to share this with him. “Okay,” she answered, thinking what she had. Kelsa leaned over and kissed him again.

The man gripped her close as she kissed him and moaned softly into the kiss before pulling back and grinned. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and that kiss had been lovely in reassuring him that he was doing the right thing.

Her face was flushed when she slowly pulled away. The girl loved S'ven and all his crazy quirks. “Breakfast before we leave?” She whispered, kissing him one ore time. more

“Mmm hmm.” He whispered, wishing she would never stop kissing him. It made his brain glitch and forget all about what he was worrying about. “In public… somewhere I can’t kiss you.”

She playfully nuzzled his neck, wanting to make him forget. “But what if I want to kiss you?” Kelsa whispered playfully. She wanted to forget her dream and make him happy again too..

The man growled and finally shifted away and looked down at her. His eyes darkened as he leaned down, capturing her mouth in a deep kiss. “I want to kiss you. Maybe I’ll have you for breakfast.” He whispered backing her off the open ledge.

Kelsa laughed a bit before moaning against his lips. She barely noticed the fact he had moved them away from the ledge. “Is that so?” She breathed, wrapping her arms around his neck. This what not what she had expected but she certainly wasn't arguing.

“Yes.” He said lifting her up on the equipment shelf that someone once upon a time had chiselled out of the stone. He set her down and grinned, kissing her again harder this time.

Kelsa melted against him, barely noticing the cold of the stone against her bare legs and back. She moaned against his mouth, just wanting to be close to him. Her hands trailed along his shoulders.

The man had to admit this was a nice distraction before he took her to his sea cot hold. He smirked as he pulled back breathless from the kisses and dropped to his knees in front of her.

This was not what she had expected, especially after the day before. Her face was flushed and she was breathing fast as she watched him drop to his knees. “S'ven?” Kelsa whispered, reaching out to run her fingers through his hair.

He loved hearing her breathless and confused in moments like this when he surprised her. “Yes?” He asked as he focused on kissing her knee before starting on the inside of her thigh.

Kelsa watched him through half closed eyes, having no idea what was running through his mind. “What…” she started before moaning in disbelief and pleasure. “Shards,” she gasped, her whole body going flushed.

The man looked up at her flushed face and smirked more as he lifted her leg over his shoulder and kissed further until he got where he wanted to. He wanted to make her happy and make up for the previous day and this was only the start of it, in his opinion.
