Nerlyn wandered for nearly a candlemark just watching people who did not know her before her need to be alone faded and she felt like she could handle people who knew her around her. She ventured towards where a large group of riders who were in River Cove colours but before she could ask any of them to help her find anyone she felt a hand on her shoulder and turned to see K’ron stood there. “How do you do that every time?” She asked.

K'ron had spent a while with his brother, letting Nerlyn be by herself for a bit. Not to mention he knew she was safe with Koda with her. Once he was sure R’kig was okay the two parted ways. He grinned at his mate at her question when he found her. “Ty,” he answered simply.

That did not explain much yet explained everything but she was happy to see him. “Tyreth?” She questioned, still confused by the simple answer. She glanced back at the riders who nodded to the pair as they passed.

He pointed towards where his bronze was sunning himself and watching everyone. “Between him and Koda, I usually know where you are,” he answered. I hope that doesn't upset you. They have both taken it on themselves to watch over you and Raen,” he admitted.

Nerlyn glanced to where many dragons were sunning themselves and sighed as she turned back to K’ron and took his face in her hands. She stared into his eyes and leaned up to kiss him softly. “I get it you worry I have scared you a few times and you have not run off at my shenanigans so relax. You do not need to keep tabs I will always return to you.” She assured quietly.

Tyreth lifted his head and crooned from his sunning spot. K'ron looked down at her as she held his face. “I know you will,” he answered softly. She had definitely scared him a few times. “But you know Ty and Koda have minds of their own,” he smiled.

“That are very influenced by your worries.” She reminded gently letting him go as she glanced to where the dragon was crooning at her. She smiled fondly, the dragon was so much like K’ron. “You better do because I love you and the life we have built even if I end up elsewhere in my thoughts sometimes.”

“Okay, okay,” he chuckled. “I'll try to be better but Koda has adopted you,” he pointed out. The little brown loved her. Tyreth settled back down to enjoy the sun. “I love you too and I will try not to worry so much.”

“Good because you will give yourself a heart attack if you carry on like this.” She told him firmly. “And I know Koda has adopted me but he is still yours.” She said looking at the fire lizard fondly. She loved the little guy too but he was still K’ron’s.

“Definitely don't want that,” K'ron agreed. “Try telling him that,” he laughed as Koda cheeped. The little brown had adopted K'ron's whole family.

“Koda. You are K’ron’s go sit on his shoulder.” She instructed firmly and frowned as the brown cheeped and got more comfortable on her shoulder. “I do not need a little protective guy guard by me.” Nerlyn stated before sighed looking at the amusement on K’ron’s face since he had tracked her down. “You Bronze Rider are infuriatingly too good looking to be annoyed at. Fine.”

“Tried to warn you,” K'ron chuckled. He knew talking Koda out of staying with Nerlyn was nearly impossible unless he was watching Raen instead. He grinned. “Can't help that either.”

“Well, aren’t you the man with no answers today.” Nerlyn tutted before grinning up at him wrapping an arm around his neck. She could only wrap one around him as Koda’s tail was around the other. “I do not want you to change that.” She assured quietly leaning up a little. “I have never wanted you any other than who are.”

“Think I used up any answers trying to answer Raen,” he laughed. He leaned down and kissed her gently. “Good because I don't do change well,” K'ron teased.

“I know you don’t.” She laughed wondered just how many questions their son had been asking in the last candle marks. “So where is Raen?” She wondered brushing her thumb over his lips resisting the urge to kiss him again. She knew they only had a few more candle marks with the boy before Lyna and N’raen offered to take him back to the Weyr for the night.

He kissed her finger tips not able to help himself. “Cathlyn and T'mil got a hold of him,” he chuckled. The pair seemed to love having Raen around. “We're supposed to meet them in half a candle mark by the games.”

“Thank Faranth it is not us having to put him to bed in that case.” Cathlyn and T'mil would have been hyped up on sugar and bubbly pies. “Well then we should start wandering in that direction then unless you have something else you want to do?”

K'ron laughed. “Hadn't considered that but you are probably right.” Poor Lyna and N'raen. “Nope i’m good. We can head that way.”

Nerlyn grinned. She took pride at the fact that they had such a great family around them who helped raise Raen and allowed them some time together too, especially with their own duties. “Can take someone else to the ball if you have concerns about how our son is going to bed?” She said grinning as she slid her hand down into his and turned to lead the way to where the game Stalls were.

K'ron raised a brow. “Is that you trying to get out of going?” He teased her, giving her hand a light squeeze. “I have no doubt your parents can handle it.” He also wasn't going to even consider going to the Ball with anyone else.

“Oh you are spicy and on the ball today K’ron.” She grinned loving the back and forth they were having. “Are you silly after the marks I spent on a new dress I will be going with or without you. First piece of clothing I have bought in turns.” She laughed as she spotted that miner from the tavern earlier. Nerlyn normally opted to adjust or renew but she thought after all the turns of doing that she deserved something new especially after winning several rounds of dragon dice.

“And you will look lovely. I wouldn't want to go with anyone else.” he was so glad that Nerlyn was starting to feel like herself and they could enjoy an easiness again. K'ron caught sight of the miner but tried to be good.

“You think I upset him enough for him to follow?” Nerlyn wondered as they walked past ignoring the miner. She was not going to give him the satisfaction of acknowledging his presence or take her eyes off the way they were going.

“Surely he's not that wherry brained,” K'ron answered. He didn't want to have to deal with the miner again. Hopefully he had gotten the idea.

“Let’s hope not as he'll be very surprised at how well this little girl knows how to fight. Taken down much bigger men than him.” Nerlyn would do anything and everything to defend herself and her baby. “But let’s hope he isn’t that wherry brained.” She said spinning a little in front of him to grin. The man did not look like he was following but with so many people it was hard to tell. “How was R’kig?” She wondered venturing to another topic that was just as troubling.

“Yeah, I know you can but I would really rather you didn't.” He didn't want to chance seeing her or the baby hurt. K'ron sighed softly. “He was a bit better when he left but still broken.”

“He needs time and maybe a few bed….” Nerlyn assured as she heard a tiny voice yelling mama and daddy which made her words stop as she ducked to sweep up the little boy who had been racing towards them.

K'ron had to agree but he didn't know if R'kig would do that. He laughed though as Nerlyn caught Raen up in her arms. The little boy always seemed to be able to find them.

Nerlyn grinned as Cathlyn and T’mil followed at a more relaxed pace. They looked happy to be with the little boy so it was good to see everyone was relaxed. “Are you two good?” She checked as Cathlyn narrowed her eyes and checked Nerlyn over. She gathered that K’ron was checking on Nerlyn as she was having a moment for lack of a better term for it.

“He's definitely kept us busy,” T'mil grinned fondly at the little boy. He loved having Raen around.

K'ron smiled at his friends. “Glad you both are still in one piece,” he teased.

“Like anyone could break me after growing up with Nerlyn and Neilla,” Cathlyn commented. “So what are we doing now? Are we seeing you later or can we hang out a little more?” She wondered, hopeful that the could still hang out now that Nerlyn and K’ron were back.

K'ron laughed. “I see what you mean,” he agreed. Those girls were handfuls. “We really didn't have anything planned so by all means, stay around,” he answered. He didn't mind the extra company. .

“Is that okay?” Cathlyn wondered looking up at T’mil.

“I was not that bad,” Nerlyn said quietly, nuzzling Raen happily. Raen laughed rubbing his nose against Nerlyn’s before Koda chirped, moving to curl around Raen finally leaving Nerlyn alone for a moment. Nerlyn glanced to K’ron and smiled happily. She mouthed thank you to him.

T'mil nodded. “Sure it's okay.”

K'ron grinned at Nerlyn. “Oh no, not bad at all,” he chuckled. He smiled as Koda moved to Raen. The bronze rider nodded at his mate.

“See how they gang up on me T’mil.” Nerlyn commented as she set Raen on his feet reluctantly. There were far too many people, and she worried about losing him but Koda was on the boy.

“Oh no, I am not getting in on that one,” T'mil laughed. Although he did see what she meant.

K'ron grinned at Nerlyn. “But we still love you.”

“I love you more mama.” Raen declared, making Nerlyn laugh. She had no doubt that he did.

“Glad to hear.” Nerlyn grinned back at K’ron she would not change anything that led to these moments of happiness.
