h Neilla stepped into the unfamiliar weyr but it felt instantly felt cold with the lack of personal decoration apart from K’ron satchel. She turned to start gathering it all as K’vin gathered up Tyreth’s straps on the ledge. The weyr’s temperature was on par with the south which allowed her to loosen her flight jacket a little. She turned around laughing a little at the picture that was on the bedside table that was a picture of Raen. Neilla let out a yelp as a man came of the bathing room carrying stuff. “Who are you?” Neilla demanded already grabbing up her own dagger from her belt ready to defend herself.

K'rei hadn't been in the dining cavern when everything had happened. Mantith had filled in the details and K'rei had come straight here in hopes of helping the southern Weyr get their rider's things together. He jumped and nearly dropped the things in his arms when Neilla demanded an answer. “My name is K'rei. I don't mean any harm.”

“K'rei? And what is K’rei doing in this weyr?” Neilla demanded twirling her dagger and put it back onto belt as she noticed K’vin rush in out of the corner of her eye as she was not taking her eyes off of the High Reaches blue rider from his ropes.

K'vin heard Neilla’s demand and had dropped the straps and run.

K'rei backed up a step, not liking the look on the green rider's face. “I had come here to help. I figured your Weyrwoman would want to get back to River Cove to check on her rider. I couldn't stop the fight but I could at least do this much.”

“The helpful blue rider. I think we’re safe K’vin.” Neilla said relaxing instantly at the fact this man was no danger to them. “Our Weyrwoman is determined to keep going with whatever she was hoping to find out here.” Neilla wished she could do more to get the woman themselves back home. She missed the heat of the south as well with how much brighter the world felt.

K'vin raised a brow at Neilla.

K'rei nodded a bit. “I know what she is looking for now. Perhaps I can help,” he offered. “Since I know you all want to get home. I am sorry about K'ron. He is a nice man and I do hope he will be alright.”

“Me too. I don’t want to be the rider who hurt him if my sister was able to get here to repay him.” Neilla looked at K’vin and smiled calmly. It was okay, things were okay here. “What is she looking for?” Neilla wondered.

K'vin relaxed his stance. This blue rider didn't seem to mean any harm.

“Mate?” K'rei asked. Oh Shards. That poor woman. He hesitated for a moment. “She was asking about timing,” he finally answered.

“Yeah his mate. But you are safe she is dragonless and a Dolphineer. Unless she bribes someone and I would not put it past her but your Weyr is safe for now.” Neilla glanced at K’vin at the mention of timing. What was timing and why was their Weyrwoman looking into it at High Reaches. “What is timing?” She asked quietly.

K'rei cringed. He was pretty sure that was one person he didn't want to mess with. If she had survived losing her dragon she was tough. “Really? You don't know what timing is?” K'vin shook his head as he looked back at Neilla. “Dragons can't just go between but they can also between time. Like they can go back in time if they have a clear picture.”“

Neilla looked at the man before she sat down weakly on the bed and frowned. All the potential of being able to do that made her dizzy for a moment. “We do not know what timing is.” The woman said gently.

K'vin blinked in disbelief. The dragons could really do that? Shards.

K'rei cringed a bit. “Your Weyrwoman had the same reaction,” he admitted. “I never realized it was such a big secret.”

Neilla grew quiet as she thought about why the group had come to High Reaches in the first place and frowned. “This is why Lana came here? Did you know about this? Did your mate know?” Neilla demanded turning on K’vin asking him questions as he had a Queen Rider mate.

K'vin quickly held up his hands in surrender. “I had no idea. If Jena knew she didn't say. I do not believe the Weyrwoman told her though.” It was a big secret to find out.

Neilla stood up putting K’ron’s items on the bed to gather later and stomped back to the records room not caring if either man had followed or not she needed answers. “Timing. You came here to investigate if Drsgons could travel between time Weyrwoman?” Neilla demanded making I’han raised an eyebrow and Lana pale if it was possible.

“Yes.” The Weyrwoman confirmed.

K'vin quickly followed the green rider, not sure what she was going to do. K'rei was completely confused but he found himself following just to see what was going to happen..

“Weyrwoman?” I’han asked quietly.

“I came here to find out what Nerlyn had been up to as she discovered it.” Lana sighed and sat in the chair as she glanced to K’rei as she realised he might have accidentally revealed it.

K'rei colored a bit. “Sorry Weyrwoman. Your green rider asked and I didn't realize it was a secret,” he said, feeling bad for saying hing now.anything.

“I did not tell you as I did not expect anyone other than K’ron and V’ros to be here.” Lana whispered, rubbing her forehead.

“Nerlyn timed?” Neilla said, thinking of her sister.

“Yes. She did it for many turns.” Lana said wishing she could explain it better but her head was spinning from it all.

K'rei still felt bad. It was so common here that he hadn't even thought about it.

“Timing?” K'vin repeated. “Wouldn't that be dangerous?” It sounded really dangerous to him.

“K’rei why don’t you explain it.” Lana said weakly as I’han poured her a mug of klah seeing her floundering a little as the shock wore off a little hopefully.

Oh Shards, K'rei wasn't expecting this at all. He slowly nodded though. “Once you have done it it's just like betweening normally just a bit longer span depending how far back you go. You have to have a good visual though or you could get lost.”

Neilla blinked. “I need wine. Can I have wine?” Neilla said glancing to K’vin and then I’han wanting one of them to confirm either way as she struggled to comprehend it all. She hated how her sisters name was wrapped up in all of this but it explained her behaviour last couple of sevendays.

K'vin shrugged a shoulder. He didn't see why she couldn't.

K'rei felt for the group. It was a lot to take in. “I can go get some real quick. Do you need anything else while you finish packing up?” He offered.

“Why don’t you go with him, Neilla. Get some air.” I’han suggested softly and Neilla jumped up and took the blue riders hand, tugging him out before anyone could argue. I’han turned to Lana. “Are you okay Weyrwoman?” He asked quietly looking at K’vin wondering how much he knew.

“I am okay. This is just a lot.” She whispered.

K'rei didn't have a chance to say anything as Neilla was tugging him out of the Records room. Alright then, off to find food and drink.

K'vin shook his head. “it is a lot to take in,” he said quietly.

“Jena doesn’t know. It’s connected to the ruins or at least possibly.” Lana sighed indicating they should all sit down and relax a little. “I am sorry you were all dragged from your beds this morning so abruptly.” Lana said feeling guilty.

K'vin dropped into one of the empty seats. “I didn't think she did as she kept trying to figure out what was going on,” the bronze rider admitted. He shrugged. “Couldn't be helped. Just glad you are safe.”

“Course I am.” Lana stated quietly swirling her her mug of klah as she contemplated everything that had happened in the last 3 candlemarks. “So how mad are they?” Lana wondered finally breaking the silence.

K'vin hesitated. It hadn't been pretty when they had left. “of course K'ron was the biggest concern and then A'ren was barking orders to get some here quickly,” he answered quietly. “I think it was more worry then anger.”

“As he should be. I know how he is as Kalaith is meeting in contact with Tyreth. Which one of you did he try to get to bring him along?” Lana asked knowing it would be worry for her but by the time she eventually got back it would be anger.

That was good to hear. At least Lana knew how K'ron was doing and so far the man was holding his own. K'vin shook his head. “First I'han then me,” he answered.

Lana could not help but pale. “Try not to think about it Lana.” I’han advised gently thinking of the fist fight that had nearly happened. He shook his head at the younger rider before turning to look at Lana. “You are okay right? No one …”

“No one touched me. No one even looked at me wrongs. I have been treated with utter respect even that rider afterwards…” Lana assured.

K'vin wrinkled his nose. He hadn't figured Lana needed to know about the fist fight. At least not yet. Hmm so they were normally a peaceful lot. He couldn't help but wonder what happened with K'ron.
