Tanly groaned a bit as she curled up on the bed more. She really didn't want to get up but she knew she needed to. Thankfully they all had a rest day after the Fall but it didn't mean she needed to sleep the day away.
The green rider buried her face in her pillow. Thankfully she had only gotten a few scratches and small scores but it didn't make it any easier to want to climb out of bed.
I’han had been up a while and grinned from the living area as he heard the woman groaning and mumbling about having to get up. “Morning.” He called in a sing song voice. Kanoth was sunning himself and was shining in the sunshine which made I’han more happy that he could imagine after yesterday.
The redhead unburied her face when she heard her mate. “Really?” Shs grumbled. How could he possibly be that happy? Tanly finally forced herself to sit up, knowing she needed to get up. Cadalayith was happy beside her bronze mate.
“Really?” He wondered rushing himself up from the couch to stand in the doorway and grinned at her. She was beautiful but no more in moments when she was sleepy and confused.
“You are way too happy in the morning,” she yawned, still trying to wake up. Normally she was fine with mornings but that morning sleep sounded more inviting. Although she knew she couldn't go back to bed now.
I’han grinned as he watched her trying to wake up a little more. He was a morning person compared to her. “It’s a beautiful day. Get dressed, and we will go get breakfast.” He encouraged.
She yawned again, pushing out of bed. “Okay,” she finally agreed, moving around to find some clothes for the day.
I’han smiled and walked out to the ledge to wait with the dragons for her. He smiled softly to himself as he breathed in the fresh sea air. This was so much nicer than being stuck in the infirmary.
Tanly finally found clothes for the day and got dressed. She worked a brush through her long hair before walking out to where I'han was. She would braid her hair up once she was out there. “It is a pretty morning,” she agreed, sitting down next to him.
“Worth getting up for?” He challenged laughing a little as he shifted over just enough to give her a little more room to braid her hair.
“Maybe,” she smiled. “Considering I didn't have my bronze rider to cuddle.” She leaned against his shoulder briefly, letting her hair flow down her back for the moment.
“I am a morning person. I get up with the fire lizards. I tried to wake you up but you grumbled.” He teased softly as he kissed her temple and just breathed in everything that was her.
“That's too early,” she groaned. Tanly laughed softly. “Kind of remember that.” She didn't like getting up early if she didn't have too.
He grinned at the groan and laughter from his mate. He was fully aware his mate did not do well in the morning. “I am fully aware it is too early for you but I was feeling … frisky and tried to wake you up for some fun.” He teased kissing her temple again.
Tanly raised a brow. “Should have tried harder then,” she teased. “Might have been willing to wake up for that.” She smiled and turned to kiss him properly.
“Oh I…” he words were cut off by the kiss and he grinned more. This woman was perfect in his eyes even if he knew she was feisty and loved her life with her heart on her sleeve.
She smiled against his lips and slowly pulled away. I'han was her world. He had loved her even after the past she had and the times she had acted selfishly. Tanly smirked up at him.
“Trust me I tried but I was not going to continue kissing you without you being awake.” He started laughing. His kisses had gotten to her collar but when he had not stirred he had given up.
Tanly blushed a bit. “Sorry love,” she smiled. She couldn't believe she had slept through that. Sure she didn't like mornings, but she didn't normally sleep that soundly.
Kanoth snorted at the pair as he felt his rider's amusement. “Oh, there are many other mornings to wake you up. You feeling okay?” He asked, looking over her scratches.
She laughed a bit. “I look forward to those.” Tanly nodded. “A bit sore but all good,” she promised. Thankfully the scratches and scores were small and not dangerous of infection or anything.
I’han knew that but he did like to check everything properly. “Good so it looks like we are good to go for breakfast?” He scrambled up offering her a had to help up.
She smiled. She knew he always liked to double check and it was one of the many reasons she loved him. “You mean I have to get up again?” Tanly teased.
He nodded. “Unfortunately but it’s worth it for food.” He reminded as he pulled her to her feet. He was starting to feel hungry so he needed to go to the cavern either way.
Tanly chuckled a bit before yawning once. She let him pull her up, not arguing. “Can't argue there. Food does sound good.”
“Then let’s feeding you.” I’han laughed, spinning her toward the door and the corridor down to the dining cavern. Hopefully she woke up better before they got there.
